Tasman Agriculture Limited (TasAg)

TasAg was the largest pastoral based dairy farming company in the world.  From small beginnings TasAg grew to 78 large scale irrigated farms in the South Island of New Zealand and 23 farms and 25,000 acres in The Van Diemens Land Company Tasmania, Australia. TasAg was the largest supplier of liquid milk in New Zealand and accordingly was the largest shareholder in the co-operative milk processors which later merged to become Fonterra.
